SOCK IT TO 'EM brought to you by The PATHWAY Project!

Victoria's homeless population is desperately in need of socks during this cold and frosty season. Consider putting your best foot forward and donating a pair of new or lightly used clean socks to the less fortunate.

Drop off socks at EMCS in Sooke or at The Pathway Project, 847 Goldstream Avenue behind the Tim Hortons.

Our goal is to collect 500 pairs of socks. Can you help???

Call us for pick up too - 250 391 1487.

Group 37 is on the homeward stretch...

Group 37 is 4 days from graduation and in the whirlwind of job search week, there are interviews and resumes and job offers (!!!) and school plans in the air.

Send these fine young people your positive energy. If you know them, take any chance you get to wish them well and congratulate them. They are indeed CHAMPIONS!

We're kicking off our new contract with another fantastic group of young people. They will be job seeking in all kinds of places-retail, restaurants, pet care, landscaping, senior's homes to name a few and we know that employers are going to be really lucky to hire them. We feel lucky just getting to know them!

WE ARE BACK - thanks to you!

.....drum roll please............WE ARE BACK - Because of YOU. To all the youth, parents, employers, social service workers, youth workers, fellow colleagues, random compassionate community members and politicians, we want to THANK YOU. Never again need you say that there is nothing you can do for something you believe in. Each person who spoke up, wrote a letter or made a phone call to support Pathway is responsible for our doors being open. We are grateful, thankful and humbled by your commitment to this program. Every youth that will get to participate in Pathway (starting now with GROUP 37!!) is because of your effort, courage and tenacity.

We encourage you to stop by, have a tour, meet participants and see how you may become more involved in the project. Our goal for year 10 is to foster more connection within every aspect of our collective communities.

Call us, Jen and Randy, at The Pathway Project - 250 391 1487.

NEXT GROUP STARTS AUGUST 29th, 2011. Don't delay - we are INTERVIEWING NOW!

Check out the photos below for a closer look at our 10th year anniversary party - thanks to all of you who showed up to show your support.

Check out the CHAMPIONS

Cold weather is nothing to these job search champions.

14 Pathwayers braved more than the weather; they faced daily check ins and check outs, assertiveness training, weekly goal setting, outdoor adventure camp and Jasper Greyhair, our local mascot, to graduate last week.

They took the challenges, pushed the limits and moved past their barriers with charm AND grit.

I declare this group... the FABulous 14.

Group 35

Halfway through and job search is just around the corner....

Step 1: Decide what you want to do.
Step 2: Learn to tell the world what you want to do with confidence.
Step 3: Prepare to face the world with super fantastic job search package in hand.
Step 4: Do it.

I think Group 35 is somewhere between 2 and 3 - hard to believe it's only been a month!
